T-Spin Basics
Setting up your first T-spin.
A T-spin is a technique for clearing lines by rotating a T-piece into a narrow gap, and it's one of the classic ways to score big. Start by building a T-shaped slot in the stack for the T-piece to enter.
The key is having a one-cell overhang above the slot that blocks a T-piece from entering directly. Stand the T-piece upright beside the slot, then rotate it toward the slot — the wall kick pushes it into the gap.
A T-spin only counts if the final move is a rotation, so don't slide it in with movement — always end with a rotation. Starting out, practicing a one-line T-spin single is the easiest way to get the feel for it.
