T-Tetromino — The T-Shaped Piece
Color: Purple
A T-shaped piece with a bump in the middle. The star of the advanced technique known as the T-spin.
The T-piece has a bump protruding from the middle of one side, making it useful for slotting into a concave notch in the stack. It's great for filling a single-cell notch in the surface.
The T-piece's true value shows in the 'T-spin.' Rotating (via wall kick) a T-piece into a gap it couldn't normally enter and clearing a line with it earns far more points than a regular clear.
A T-spin only counts if the final move is a rotation, and at least three of the four corners around the T-piece's center must be occupied. It's a core technique for high-score play.
