T-Spin

Wedge a T-piece into place via rotation to score big.

A T-spin is a technique where you rotate (via wall kick) a T-piece into a narrow gap it couldn't normally enter, then clear a line with it. It scores far more than a normal clear and also extends the back-to-back chain.

The requirement is that the T-piece's final move must be a rotation, and at least three of the four corners around its center must be occupied. You need to design this 'T-spin slot' into the stack ahead of time.

A classic setup leaves a gap for the T-piece under a single-cell overhang and rotates the T vertically into it. With practice, this opens the door to much higher scores.
