Understanding Scoring

What actually makes your score jump.

Base points depend on how many lines you clear at once. Four lines (a Tetris) score far more than one, two, or three, and the same clear scores more the higher your level.

Clearing lines with a T-spin scores more than a normal clear for the same number of lines. Landing difficult clears like Tetrises or T-spins back-to-back adds a multiplier, and clearing lines without a break builds up a combo bonus.

Clearing the board entirely with a perfect clear gives the biggest bonus of all. In the end, the key to a high score is chaining Tetrises and T-spins back-to-back while keeping your combo alive.
