Z-Tetromino — The Z-Shaped Piece

A Z-shaped piece that mirrors the S-piece. Pairs with S to level out the surface.

The Z-piece is the S-piece's zigzag shape flipped horizontally. Like the S-piece, placing it flat on level ground leaves a gap, so fit it into a staircase spot facing the opposite direction.

Designing the stack surface with a sawtooth pattern that accounts for both S and Z lets you place them naturally. Standing a Z-piece upright against a staircase on the left wall is a classic placement.

Dropping S and Z pieces hastily anywhere builds up gaps (holes) that become hard to clear later. It's important to prepare spots for these two pieces in advance.
