Reading the Ghost Piece
Difficulty: Basic
See where a piece will land in advance and place it precisely.
The ghost piece shows a faint outline of where the current piece will land if dropped as-is. It lets you visually confirm the landing spot before hard-dropping.
Watching the ghost makes it easy to tell exactly which column a piece will land in and whether it will leave a gap. It especially cuts down on mistakes at high speed.
As you get more experienced, you'll be able to judge placement without relying on the ghost, but for beginners and intermediates, keeping it on and checking the landing spot builds accuracy.
